When booking your first appointment or making a change to your look, start by booking a complimentary consultation. This will give you a chance to meet your stylist, get to know them and communicate the look you want to achieve. Come with some photos to the consultation … as these are always a good starting point.
Yes- the entire Chameleon Team encourages it. Chameleon is a non-commissioned wage salon. We pay our stylists and spa teams good hourly rates so they are comfortable having you see other members of the team.
We start by only hiring nice and friendly people to work at Chameleon. We then focus on making your experience really pleasant and relaxing.
Female clients can be sprayed in their bathing suit, underwear, or totally nude. Male clients must wear underwear / swim trunks. All of our spray tans are done by our professional female technicians.

It lasts 3-4 weeks to start. You should not be shaving in between. The longer you continue to have the procedure done, the longer it lasts.
You should use a product like Tendskin or Bag Balm to prevent shave bumps, ingrown hairs, and folliculitis. Also moisturizing and exfoliating the day after is a great idea, but make sure that you are using a fragrance-free product.
The hair has to grow to ¼ – ½ inch in length, and you should exfoliate in a circular motion several days in a row before coming in.
Yes you can wax, even up until the last couple of days, but because of hormones, your body is going to be more sensitive to touch and pain, so it may hurt more.
We have a more gentle wax that we can use on delicate skin. But your skin also may react more if you’re on medications like Retin-A and Renova. It is not safe to wax if you’re taking certain medications.
It depends on the person, but generally 15-30 minutes, depending on how long / thick your hair is.
In short yes, but there are ways to make it hurt less. The hair should be at least ¼ inch. If shorter, it will hurt more. It should feel like a big bandaid is being ripped off . . . but your first time will always hurt the most.
